관계대명사 계속적용법 vs 제한적용법

 

제한적 용법

쓰임: 선행사가 명확하지 않아서 명확하게 설명할 때 (선행사를 정의)

-Comma 없음

-관계대명사 절부터 선행사로 해석

-불완전한 형용사 절(선행사인 명사 수식)

 

 

 

계속적 용법

쓰임: 선행사가 명확하지만, 추가적 설명 (extra meanings)이 필요할 때

-선행사가 명확하다 -> 청자, 화자가 “선행사”를 명확히 한다.

-comma있음

-앞에서부터 해석

 

- who, which, whose 명사, whom, of which와 함께 쓰며,  

though 대명사 (비록 ~지만) / and 대명사 / but 대명사 / for 대명사

로 바꿔 쓸 수 있다. (대명사는 선행사의 격에 따라)

 

접속사 + 대명사로 바꿀 경우

대명사는 무엇이냐면,

관계대명사의 역할로 사라졌던 주어,목적격,소유격이 

다시 뿅! 나타나는 거에요.

 

관계대명사가 주격이면 

관계대명사 절에는 주어가 없죠?

그 사라졌던 주어가 다시 나타나는거에요.

 

왜냐면 접속사 다음엔 완벽한 문장이 나와야 하니까요. 

 

 

I bought a cell phone, which was useless. 선행사 사물, 주격

= I bought a cell phone, but it was useless.

 

She saw a movie star 송강호, who was very kind. 선행사 사람, 주격

= She saw a movie star 송강호, and he was very kind.

 

My mom tried to cook Pasta, which my mom haven’t tried. 선행사 사물, 목적격

= My mom tried to cook Pasta, though my mom haven’t tried it.

 

I don’t use this chair, whose legs are broken. 선행사 사물, 소유격

= I don’t use this chair, for its legs are broken.

 

He bought me a computer, which I bought yesterday. 선행사 사물, 목적격

= He bought me a computer, but I bought it yesterday.

 

 

 

-Comma를 꼭 찍는 경우

 

1. 고유명사를 수식할 때

I will go shopping with Jina, who is best friend.

Michael Jackson, who is one of the greatest singers, died in 2009.

 

2. 명확한 선행사에 추가설명

He is the student, whom I teach in my class.
